A- Registration for the Fall 2008 Season is now posted on the Registration page.
A- If you signed your child up during early registration then he/she will be placed on a team sometime in July, the coach will notify you in July or August. If you made it to early registration and have not been notified by August 15th then you should e-mail the Registrar at reg@ayso677.org.
Q- What does the U before a number mean? A- The U means under, so U10 means under 10 years old. Your child may be 10 years old and in the Under 10 division if he/she was born after the effective date of age determination which is July 31st of the year that the season commences.
Q- What ball size and equipment does my child need? A-
Your child will also need shin guards and appropriate shoes, soccer cleats are recommended but are not required.
Q- I want to become a coach, what do I have to do? A- When registering your child sign up to be a coach, you will be informed of when the coaching classes will be held. Come to the class and get certified.
Q- How are teams awarded points? A-
Q- How can I become involved in helping AYSO Region 677? A- When registering your child to play AYSO sign up to volunteer.
Q- I see some real bad referees out there. What can I do? A- Contact the Regional Referee Administrator and find out when the next referee class is. Then, come to the class and become a certified referee. We need people that know the game and can make the calls as they see them.
Q- How much do the referees, board members and coaches get paid?
A- Uniforms (Shorts, socks & jersey), individual and team pictures, and a yearbook are included in the cost. Additional costs for the Region include national and section fees, maintenance of goal posts and other equipment, paint to line the fields, storage for the equipment, permits to use the fields, coach and referee training are just a few of the costs of AYSO soccer. |
